Four Squares Design Group is a Calgary based Interior Design Consulting company and the culmination of professional design experience that began in 1992'. We offer Design Services that are competent, professional, experienced, ethical, attentive and responsive for any project.

Our experience has been focused on the corporate office environment, but we have experience with medical and dental offices, retail businesses, food service and residential design.

What is interior design?

Interior design is the art or practice of devising, conceiving and drawing, planning, arranging, and supervising the execution of interior architectural space, with consideration for functional human requirements, aesthetics and furnishings.

The professional interior designer is a person qualified:

			by education, experience and examination
			to creatively solve problems relating to the built environment in accordance with
			human needs
			to enhance the function and quality of interior spaces for the purposed of safety
			improving the quality of life, increasing productivity, and protecting the health,
			and welfare of the public.
			Who:
			i) identifies, researches and creatively solves problems pertaining to the interior environment; ii) performs services relative to interior spaces, including programming,  design analysis, space planning and aesthetics using specialized knowledge in interior construction, building systems and components, building codes, equipment, materials and furnishings; iii) prepares all drawings and documents relative to the design of interior spaces in order to enhance and protect the health, safety and welfare of the public.

What services do we provide?

			Analyze the Clients needs, goals, life and safety requirements including
			programming and space needs analysis.
			Integrate finding with knowledge of Interior Design.
			Formulate preliminary space plans and design concepts that are functional and
			aesthetic.
			Develop and present design recommendation.
			Prepare working drawings and specifications for non-load bearing interior
			construction, materials and finishes, furnishings, fixtures and equipment.
			Collaborate with other professionals in the areas of mechanical, electrical and
			structural design as required for regulatory approval.
			Tender period: prepare and administer bids and contract documents as the
			client’s agent.
			Contract Administration: review and evaluate design solution during
			implementation and upon completion.
